Why windows here get dirty so fast
Islamabad and Rawalpindi are hard on glass. Dust blows in for most of the year and settles on every pane; the first rain after a dry spell turns that dust into streaks that dry into visible marks; and in the newer sectors and societies there is nearly always construction nearby throwing fine cement dust into the air. Glass that was cleaned a month ago rarely looks it.
There is also the problem of what regular cleaning misses. Most people clean the glass and stop there, but the dirt that makes a window look bad accumulates in the frame, the track and the sill. Sliding window tracks in particular collect a compacted mix of dust, grit and insect debris that stops the window running smoothly and washes back onto clean glass the next time it rains.
We clean windows for houses, apartments, offices and shopfronts across both cities. Interior glass is always straightforward. Exterior glass depends entirely on access — ground floor and first floor are usually simple, upper floors reachable from balconies or with poles are fine, and anything requiring rope access or a cradle is outside what we do.
What is included in window cleaning
Priced per window or per pane depending on size, with a reduction for larger jobs. Everything below is standard.
- Interior glass — washed and squeegeed to a streak-free finish on every pane
- Exterior glass wherever it can be reached safely from ground level, a balcony, or with extension poles
- Frames — wiped down including the rubber seals and the top edge that never gets cleaned
- Tracks and channels — compacted dust, grit and debris vacuumed and scrubbed out so sliding windows run properly again
- Sills and ledges — internal and external, washed rather than just dusted
- Fly screens removed where possible, washed and refitted
- Hard-water and mineral spotting treated where sprinklers or run-off have left deposits on the glass
- Surrounding protection — floors and furnishings covered, with any drips cleaned up before we leave

How it works
Tell us what you have
Roughly how many windows, how many floors, and whether the exterior is reachable from balconies or ground level. Photos of the building help.
Access check and a fixed price on WhatsApp
From your photos we confirm what can be cleaned safely from inside, from balconies, or with poles, tell you plainly if anything is out of reach, and send one fixed price in writing before we come.
Clean glass, frames, tracks, sills
Interior and reachable exterior glass washed and squeegeed, then frames, tracks and sills done — the parts most cleaners skip.
Check in daylight
We check the panes from the angles you actually look through them, because streaks only show in certain light.
What affects the price
Number and size of windows
Priced per window or per pane. Large fixed panes and glass doors count differently from small casements.
Interior only, or inside and out
Exterior work takes longer and depends on access.
Access and floor level
Ground floor is straightforward. Upper floors reachable from balconies are fine. Anything needing specialist access we do not take on.
Condition
Windows cleaned regularly are quick. Years of dust, hard-water spotting or construction residue take considerably longer.
Frames, tracks and screens
Including these adds time but is what makes the difference between glass that looks clean for a week and for a month.
Frequently asked questions
Do you clean the outside of upper-floor windows?
Where they can be reached safely — from a balcony, terrace, or with extension poles from a stable position. We do not do rope access or cradle work, and we will not improvise something unsafe to reach an awkward pane. When you send photos of the building we tell you exactly which windows we can do and which we cannot, before you commit to anything.
How often should windows be cleaned?
In these two cities, every two to three months keeps them genuinely clear. Ground-floor windows facing a road, and anywhere near ongoing construction, benefit from monthly. Offices and shopfronts where appearance matters commercially are usually best on a monthly schedule, which we can set up as a standing arrangement.
Will there be streaks?
There should not be. Streaking comes from cleaning in direct sunlight, using too much detergent, or finishing with a cloth instead of a proper squeegee. We work shaded panes first where we can and check the finish from the angles you actually look through. If you spot a streak after we leave, tell us and we will come back.
Do you clean the window tracks as well?
Yes, and it is one of the more useful parts of the job. Tracks collect a compacted mix of dust, grit and insect debris that stops sliding windows running and washes back down onto clean glass in the first rain. We vacuum and scrub them out as standard rather than treating it as an extra.
Can you remove the hard water spots?
Usually yes. Mineral deposits from sprinklers, run-off or air conditioning condensate respond to acidic treatment in most cases. Where the deposits have been there for years they can etch into the glass surface itself, which is physical damage rather than dirt and cannot be cleaned off. We test a pane first and tell you which situation you are in.
Do you do offices and shops as well as homes?
Yes. We clean office glass, partitions, shopfronts and glass entrances across both cities, and most commercial clients put us on a regular schedule. We can work early mornings, evenings or weekends so there is no disruption to customers or staff.
