Why post-construction cleaning is its own job
When builders finish, the property looks finished. It is not. Construction leaves behind a very specific kind of mess that ordinary cleaning cannot shift: a fine grey cement dust that has settled into every hinge, track, socket and skirting gap; paint and plaster spots dried onto tiles and glass; silicone and adhesive smears around frames; grout haze clouding brand-new floors; and stickers and protective film still stuck to windows, sanitary ware, kitchen units and switch plates.
The dust is the real problem. It is far finer than household dust and it does not sit still — sweep a room once and it lifts into the air, settles again an hour later, and the room looks untouched. This is why a single pass never works and why handing a new build to a domestic cleaner usually ends in frustration. Post-construction cleaning is done in stages, with proper vacuums that trap fine particles instead of blowing them back into the room, and each stage has to settle before the next one starts.
We do post-construction cleaning across Islamabad and Rawalpindi — new houses in DHA, Bahria Town and Bahria Enclave, apartment handovers in Gulberg and the F and G sectors, and commercial fit-outs in Blue Area and the markaz areas of both cities. Most of our work comes from owners taking possession, contractors handing over, and estate agents preparing a finished unit for viewing.
What is included in post-construction cleaning
A post-construction clean is done in passes rather than room-by-room, because dust that is disturbed has to be allowed to settle before the final pass. Everything below is standard.
- Debris and waste removal — leftover offcuts, packaging, empty containers, cement bags and building rubbish bagged and taken away
- Full dust extraction — high-filtration vacuuming of ceilings, walls, ledges, vents, window tracks, door frames, skirting and every horizontal surface, repeated after the dust settles
- Paint, plaster and adhesive removal — scraping and solvent treatment of spots on tiles, glass, frames, sanitary ware and fittings
- Silicone and sealant clean-up — smears removed from glass, tiles, worktops and around baths, basins and shower trays
- Sticker and protective film removal — from windows, doors, sanitary ware, kitchen units, appliances and switch plates, including the adhesive residue left behind
- Grout haze removal — the cloudy film left on new tile and stone, treated and buffed out
- Kitchen and bathrooms — units cleaned inside and out, new sanitary ware degreased and polished, taps and fittings descaled
- Glass and windows — interior glass, frames, tracks and sills washed; exterior glass where it can be reached safely
- Final floor treatment — machine scrubbed or mopped to suit the surface, with edges and grout lines done by hand

- Any remaining building, plaster, paint or handyman work — we clean, we do not finish construction
- Removal of heavy structural debris, rubble skips or large quantities of construction waste requiring a truck
- Rope-access or cradle cleaning of high-rise exterior facades
- Marble grinding and polishing, which is a separate heavy machine job
- Sofa, carpet and mattress cleaning if furniture has already moved in
- Water tank cleaning and drain or sewerage unblocking

How it works
Tell us the property and stage
Message us the size in marla or square feet, how many floors, whether it is residential or commercial, and how far along the builders are. Photos are genuinely useful here — the amount of dust and debris changes the job a lot.
You get a fixed price on WhatsApp
We may ask a question or two, then send one fixed price in writing before any work starts. The difference between a site that has been roughly swept and one that has not is several hours of work, so good photos matter — and for large handovers we can arrange a site visit first if photos are not enough.
Staged clean
Debris out first, then a full dust extraction from ceiling down, then spot removal of paint, silicone and adhesive, then glass and fittings, and finally floors — with time allowed between passes for airborne dust to settle.
Handover walkthrough
We walk the property with you at the end. Anything missed gets done before we leave. For contractor handovers we can provide before-and-after photos.
What affects the price
Total area and number of floors
The single biggest factor. A 5-marla double storey and a 1-kanal single storey are very different amounts of work.
How much debris is left
A site the builders have cleared costs noticeably less than one where packaging, offcuts and cement bags are still lying in every room.
Amount of paint, silicone and adhesive
Careful spot removal from tiles and glass is slow, detailed work. A tidy finish costs less to clean than a messy one.
Number of bathrooms and kitchens
New sanitary ware and kitchen units take the longest of any area, because everything has to be de-filmed, degreased and polished individually.
Deadline
If you need it finished overnight or across a single day before a handover, we put a bigger team on it, and that is priced in.
Frequently asked questions
How much does post-construction cleaning cost in Islamabad?
It depends mainly on the size of the property, how many floors it has, and how much debris and paint the builders left behind. Because those vary so much between sites, we do not publish a fixed rate — send photos of the actual condition on WhatsApp and we give you one fixed price in writing before starting. A tidy handover costs considerably less than a site that has not been touched.
How long does it take?
A small apartment can be done in a day. A large house usually takes two to three days, because the dust has to be allowed to settle between passes and rushing that simply means doing it twice. If you have a fixed handover date, tell us and we will put enough people on it to hit the deadline.
Should I book post-construction cleaning or a deep clean?
If builders, painters or tilers have been in the property, book post-construction cleaning. It is a different job with different equipment: fine cement dust, grout haze, paint spots and adhesive residue need multiple passes and solvent work that a standard deep clean does not include. Book a deep clean only once the property is finished and furnished.
Can you clean before the furniture arrives?
Yes, and that is by far the best time to do it. An empty property is quicker, cheaper and gets a much better result, because there is nothing to work around and nowhere for dust to hide. If you can, book us for after the builders leave and before the movers arrive.
Do you remove the construction waste as well?
We remove cleaning waste, packaging, offcuts, empty containers and general builder's rubbish as part of the job. What we do not do is haul away large structural debris or rubble that needs a truck and a skip — if there is a lot of that, it should be cleared before we arrive, and we will tell you from your photos if that is the case.
Will the dust come back after you have cleaned?
Not if the job is done properly. The reason dust seems to reappear is that a single pass lifts fine particles into the air, which then settle over the following hours. We work in staged passes with high-filtration vacuums precisely so that does not happen. If you notice a problem afterwards, tell us and we will come back.
Do you work with contractors and builders directly?
Yes. A good share of our post-construction work comes from contractors, developers and estate agents handing over finished units. We can work to your handover schedule including nights and weekends, invoice the contractor rather than the owner, and supply before-and-after photographs for your records.
