Why cleaning before you move in is worth it
An empty property is the easiest thing in the world to clean well, and the hardest once it is full. Every cupboard opens freely, every corner of every floor is reachable, nothing has to be lifted or worked around, and there is nowhere for dust to hide. The same house, cleaned a week after the furniture arrives, is a slower and worse job at a higher price.
There is also the question of what the previous occupants left. However tidy someone was, a handover clean is usually surface-level. What we consistently find in properties across Islamabad and Rawalpindi is grease film inside kitchen cupboards and on top of units, scale around taps and in shower trays, dust in wardrobe interiors and along curtain rails, and marks on switch plates and door frames — the things nobody cleans when they are busy moving out.
We do move-in cleans for houses and apartments across both cities: rental handovers in Bahria Town and Chaklala, new purchases in DHA and the F and G sectors, and family homes being taken over across Gulberg, E-11 and PWD. If the property has just been built or renovated, post-construction cleaning is the right service instead — the dust problem there is a different one.
What is included in a move-in clean
Because the property is empty we can be thorough in places that become impossible later. Everything below is standard.
- Kitchen, inside and out — every cupboard and drawer cleaned internally, unit tops degreased, counters, backsplash, sink and taps descaled
- Bathrooms — full descaling of tiles, grout, glass, taps and fittings; WC, basin and tub sanitised; mirrors polished
- All wardrobes and built-in storage cleaned inside, including shelves, rails and the tops nobody can reach later
- Floors throughout — vacuumed then machine-scrubbed or mopped, with edges, corners and grout lines done by hand
- Walls, doors and switches — marks and fingerprints spot-cleaned from doors, frames, switch plates and reachable wall areas
- High dusting — ceiling fans, light fittings, vents, curtain rails, door frames, skirting and cobwebs
- Windows and glass — interior glass, frames, tracks and sills; exterior glass where safely reachable
- Balconies and terraces swept and washed down

What affects the price
Size of the property
Total area in marla or square feet and whether it is single or double storey.
Condition it was left in
The biggest variable. A well-maintained handover costs far less than a property nobody has cleaned properly in years.
Number of kitchens and bathrooms
These take the longest, and cleaning cupboard interiors adds real time.
Amount of built-in storage
Wardrobes, kitchen units and storage cleaned internally is a large part of a move-in clean.
Access and timing
Which floor, lift availability, parking, and whether you need it finished by a fixed date.
Frequently asked questions
When should I book a move-in clean?
Ideally for the day before your furniture arrives, or the same morning. The whole value of this service is that the property is empty — every extra day of boxes and furniture in the house makes it a slower, more expensive and less thorough job.
The landlord said it has already been cleaned. Do I still need it?
Usually the handover clean is surface-level: floors mopped, bins emptied, visible surfaces wiped. What it rarely includes is the inside of kitchen cupboards and wardrobes, the tops of units, scale in the bathrooms, and the marks on switches and door frames. Those are exactly the things you cannot get to once you have moved in.
How long does a move-in clean take?
An empty apartment is often finished in half a day. A larger empty house is usually a full working day. Empty properties are considerably faster than furnished ones, which is part of why this is the best time to do it.
What if the property was just built or renovated?
Then book post-construction or post-renovation cleaning instead. Fine cement dust, grout haze, paint spots and protective film need multiple passes and different equipment, and a standard move-in clean will not deal with them properly. Tell us the situation and we will book the right service.
Can you do it at short notice?
Often yes. We work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and move-in dates have a habit of shifting. Message us as soon as you have a date, even a provisional one, and we will keep the slot flexible where we can.
Do you clean inside the cupboards and wardrobes?
Yes, and it is one of the main reasons to book this service. Every cupboard, drawer, wardrobe and built-in storage unit is cleaned internally — shelves, rails, corners and the tops. Once your things are in there, none of that is reachable again without unpacking everything.
